Mimram Veterinary Centre can be found at 31 Church Street in the heart of picturesque Old Welwyn Village. The building itself is about 150 years old and has a somewhat interesting past during which time it has served as, amongst other things, a police station and a butchers.
Stephanie Writer-Davies, our practice founder, acquired the building (as offices) in December 1998. We have sympathetically refurbished the building in keeping with the ambience of the village.
Since opening, the practice has grown from one vet, one nurse and one receptionist to six vets, five nurses and eight receptionists. Between them, the staff have a wealth of knowledge, not only on the health and welfare of animals but also on general animal matters, training and behavioural problems.
They all regularly attend courses to keep up with the latest techniques and treatments.
