Repeat Prescriptions

You may obtain Prescription Only Medicines, Category V (POM-Vs) from us or ask for a prescription and obtain these medicines from elsewhere. There is a charge for a prescription to be written. Please call us for up to date information on these charges.

A prescription may not be appropriate if immediate treatment is necessary or if your animal is an in-patient in the hospital. You will be informed on request of the price of any medicine that may be prescribed for your animal.

The general policy of the Mimram Veterinary Practice is to re-assess an animal requiring repeat prescriptions every 3 months, depending on the medication. There is a charge for a prescription check-up and this is available on request.

Please allow two working days for all repeat and written prescription requests to be processed.

Please note that we don’t class Saturdays as a working day.
